Well, they certainly made me consider Arien as a character to introduce early - so yes, kind of.

Some great lines in this one.

"Olórin, get back. You're no match for Balrogs in a fight."

and

BALROG: "Hello, Arien. How've you been?"

ARIEN: "Good. You?"

BALROG: "Evil."

If they used this version of the Silmarillion, it might even be filmable! Just get Peter Jackson to do it. This doesn't take any more liberties with the source material than the Hobbit movies do, after all. :-)

There's definitely a Whedon influence behind the dialogue here, I confess.

And of course, Olórin never will manage to fight Balrogs (plural)...
