The history of Middle-Earth (chibi version): Part 81: Thalassa, thalassa!

18th November 2013 (16:49)

Today's title is, of course, a reference to Xenophon's Anabasis.   :)

Apologies for not being around last week to post: I had multiple conflicting jobs at work that needed my full attention!

Anyway, the good news is that over the weekend I was able to create half a dozen more of these cartoons (you now have chibi-Ossë and chibi-Uinen to look forward to ) so I won't run out for a while.

Part 81: Thalassa, thalassa!

Next time: Part 82: Family visits

Chibis by tektek.org
Original story by and copyright to J R R Tolkien, ed. C Tolkien: Primarily based on the Silmarillion, but incorporating ideas from the 12-volume History of Middle Earth series.

Hope Ulmo is feeling up to some exercise.

Indis might want to watch herself... wouldn't want Miriel to slip with those knitting needles and invent trepanning.

Despite all appearances, bear in mind that Indis is actually one of the Firstborn, among the greatest of the Eldar. She probably instinctively knows kung-fu and can pluck a knitting needle out of her attacker's hand without having to think about it.

Which is lucky, because having to think about it would be hard for her. :)

Just like vampires!

You have to wonder about a Firstborn who would insult the "mother" of another Firstborn.

Well, according to my personal canon, this is Generation One, whereas Imin and Iminyë and co were Generation Zero. :)
