The History of Middle-earth (chibi version) - Part 92: Cleavage

13th January 2014 (19:35)

Apologies for last week's hiatus; this was entirely due to me not having any cartoons to post. I now have a couple in hand, so we're back again. This week will cover the further exploits of the Elves in Valinor, then next week, hopefully, we'll cross back over the Sea to see what's going on back in Beleriand.

Yes, Oromë has a laser pointer. :)

Part 92: Cleavage

Next time: Part 93: Tirion on Túna.

Chibis by tektek.org
Original story by and copyright to J R R Tolkien, ed. C Tolkien: Primarily based on the Silmarillion, but incorporating ideas from the 12-volume History of Middle Earth series.

Bugger!

I was thinking much the same.

Also, I had Tirion on Túna for lunch today... well actually it was cheddar on tuna, on a ciabatta, but it was pretty close...

Some jokes just write themselves...

I can't seem to find any reference to what the name Túna means in Quenya - so maybe Tolkien really did think up the name after eating some fish, and never got round to devising an etymology for it...

Look on the bright side, no-one's broken his Dwarves yet!

But Eru was going to make him break the Dwarves. :( Maybe I should have said "people keep threatening to break his stuff"?

And here we see that Námo is actually kind of a crap prophet, and Nessa is smarter than she's given credit for.

Well technically Námo was speaking in the present tense... Melkor would only become a threat again if the Valar decide to grant him parole when his next hearing comes up.

But yeah...
