The History of Middle-earth (chibi version) - Part 98: Lonely island

6th February 2014 (10:44)

If you're wondering about "fourth crossing" - the first was from the island's original location to Beleriand, the second was to Valinor with the Vanyar and Noldor on board, and the third was back to Middle-earth to collect the Teleri.

I was going to make some reference in the picture on the right to "a far green country under a swift sunrise", but the Sun hasn't been invented yet...

Part 98: Lonely island

Next time: Part 99: Language difficulties.

Lonely Island

Good thing sea dragons don't appear to exist in the Tolkienverse. We wouldn't want the Teleri to have to spend decades in exile after a sea dragon invades their homeland.

I'm afraid I don't get the reference there?

Since a land dragon attacked the Lonely Mountain, obviously it would only have been a matter of time before a sea dragon attacked a Lonely Island.
