The History of Middle-earth (chibi version) - Part 132 - A truth universally acknowledged

12th June 2014 (16:25)

So, today's cartoon (and the next one) are re-telling the same story as in my recent fic A matter of perspective, except in cute chibi 800x600 form. In fact, I created this cartoon some time ago, and wrote the story based on it, rather than vice-versa. You might spot that some of the dialogue is word-for-word the same.

I'd be interested to know if the imagery fits the way people imagined it being from the written story?

Part 132: A truth universally acknowledged

Next time: Part 133: With apologies to Filippo Brunelleschi

Original story by and copyright to J R R Tolkien, ed. C Tolkien: Primarily based on the Silmarillion, but incorporating ideas from the 12-volume History of Middle Earth series.

Not at all. Nerdanel's statues don't move when you're not looking directly at them. Honest. :)

Oh, and Nerdanel's right about Fëanor's statuette. The propotions shouldn't be be realistic. They should be chibi-like, since no-one in their universe is realistically proportioned anyway!
