The History of Middle-earth (chibi version) - Part 132 - A truth universally acknowledged

12th June 2014 (16:25)

So, today's cartoon (and the next one) are re-telling the same story as in my recent fic A matter of perspective, except in cute chibi 800x600 form. In fact, I created this cartoon some time ago, and wrote the story based on it, rather than vice-versa. You might spot that some of the dialogue is word-for-word the same.

I'd be interested to know if the imagery fits the way people imagined it being from the written story?

Next time: Part 133: With apologies to Filippo Brunelleschi

Really?

OK, I love the "blink" angel of Nerdanel. The rest of the 'eligible' females are so vapid, and here's this spunky redhead creating something that will resonate through the ages to come! Yeah!

Thanks!

I actually had a completely different statue in there at first - a Greek discus thrower - but decided at the last minute to replace the drawing by a Weeping Angel instead, as an in-joke. It seems to be appreciated. :)

"It's just a statue of Nienna. Why is everyone so freaked out by it?"
