The History of Middle-earth (chibi version) - Part 133 - With apologies to Filippo Brunelleschi

16th June 2014 (11:54)

Second part of the chibi version of the story I also covered in the fic 'A Matter of Perspective'.

Filippo Brunelleschi was the Florentine sculptor, architect and painter from the 15th century who's credited with inventing linear perspective - that is, the way of depicting the illusion of three-dimensional shapes on a two-dimensional surface. In this cartoon, I've given his discovery to Fëanor and Nerdanel instead. Sorry, Filippo.

I Love Art

Perfect 'break the ice' topic between two creative people. Love it. And obtaining the proper perspective in art is as essential as defining POV in writing - so basic and so very important.

Thanks! Though I have to say I've never invented an entirely new application of art when breaking the ice with someone; maybe I'm just not creative enough? :(
