What's the sound effect for *DISARM*?

Exactly what you wrote. *DISARM*. :)

Though as I see it, both Galadriel and Fëanor are going to be roughly equal in skill. Neither has actually used a sword in anger before now, though I assume both have been trained.

Have ANY Elves in Aman ever seen battle before? I wonder who trained them, since I assume training someone effectively in sword fighting must require that someone, somewhere along the line, has been in a real swordfight.

Presumably the elves on the Great Journey would need to learn some kind of fighting skills for fending off wild beasts - especially if Melkor was breeding monsters in those days. I assume that once they reached Aman, such skills would no longer be needed except for hunting - but they might carry on practicing them purely as an artform and means of exercise, kind of like Tai Chi or Kendo.

Swords were only recently invented, though, the craft taught to the Noldor by Melkor. I imagine all the elves who were interested in going back to Middle-earth would be practicing with them in secret; but until the Kinslaying all their experience would be entirely theoretical. Fëanor threatened Fingolfin with a sword, but this is the first time they've ever been used to kill.
